In general, acceptable unrestricted activities include behavior-analytic tasks tied to client work, such as analyzing data, developing or updating behavior plans, collaborating with caregivers or other professionals, and supporting staff training under BCBA guidance. Activities that are not acceptable as unrestricted hours include administrative tasks, independent studying or exam preparation, passive observation without analysis, or any work completed without direct BCBA oversight.
