Creating a BIP Walkthrough
Build a complete visual Behavior Intervention Plan, from the cover page to the resources your team needs.
No sound. This is a silent screen recording — every step is written out below.
Steps
Open your BIP. The left menu lists every page: Cover, About the Learner, Behavior Overview, How This Visual BIP Is Organized (pages 1 and 2), Teach: What and How, Teach: Respond, Prevent: When and How, Reward and Respond, Resources and Courses.
Cover: click the cover to edit it. Replace or generate the cover image, then add a title and subtitle.
About the Learner and Behavior Overview: fill in who the learner is, their strengths and support needs, and the target behavior, function and baseline data.
Teach: click “Select Strategy” and search the strategy library (for example “request” or “model”). Open a strategy to see its visual steps, then add it to the plan.
Prevent: describe when to prevent the behavior (for example “during transitions away from preferred activities”), then add proactive strategies such as Timers or A Better Way to Say “No”. Strategies are also available in Spanish.
Edit the text on each strategy card to fit your learner, then click “Save and Close”.
Resources and Courses: click “+” and choose “Add Resource”. Filter by audience (Welcome, For BCBAs, For Educators, For Families, For Behavior Staff, For Learners), then click “Add to BIP” or “Open” to preview.
